Seek and you will find…

SEEK is a Training Programme of Student Christian Movement of India, Kerala Region for the student community in which students can participate from their home.
The programme is designed, with passion and dreams, to enable the student community to prepare themselves for a meaningful and beautiful life. SEEK will enlarge our vision and perspectives about ourselves and equip us with certain tools to restructure our own life.

Why SEEK?
Self-awareness, aspirations, purpose of life, creativity, co-operation, scientific temper, analytical and critical thinking, habits, focus, faith, trust, sense of hope and discipline are some of the defining factors that enabled homosapiens to leap forward and survive various waves of distress that challenged our existence.
Creativity, contemplation, analytical and critical thinking skills thrive when a person experiences good art and literature; possesses healthy spirituality or God consciousness and engages in responsible politics.
The greatest possibility of literature is that it will enable us to transcend the limits of our perceptions and take us to multiple realms of human experiences and imaginations. It will liberate us and let us understand experiences different from our own.
While literature brings us out of ourselves, contemplation takes us into our depths. Contemplation is a meaningful reflection on a topic. It enables our awareness to go deeper and to connect with the essences of life, beauty, knowledge and reality.
It is the synergy created by the combination of all these aspects that enable holistic approach to learning and building up our own life.

SEEK Envisions:
- To re-define and re-design our own life;
- To develop habits that are necessary to design and steer our life;
- To enrich our creativity and methods of expressions;
- To nurture our reading and writing skills;
- To sharpen our analytical and critical thinking skills;
- To flourish our contemplative mind to savour the flavours of art, literature, music, philosophy, science, spirituality and everything that life meets in its journey;
- To realise our faith responsibility for social change that ensures a just and peaceful egalitarian society, negating the unjust practices in the name of caste, class, colour,creed, gender, race etc.
How will it be done?
The programme will have different modules each of which will have different activities.
- You will be given materials to read, to watch. You will have to explore, learn and review the given resources within the time limits.
- You will have to create your own responses. You can choose to write, draw, doodle or make a video. Your creative contributions are the most significant part of the programme. It is here you will reflect upon what you have acquired.
Course duration
The first phase of the programme will span over 14 days in which there will be different modules each of which will have materials to explore and learn. The participants will have to mark their responses through their creative skills like writing, drawing, doodling etc.

Expected Outcomes
If we could utilise some of our time and potentials to actualise this training programme, we are hopeful that:
- You are going to transform yourself and equip yourself for a creative, committed and meaningful life.
- You will realise the energy pack you have in you; the already installed, but unused, applications that enable you to soar into the skies of human life actualisations.
- You will realise the value and extent of the available time, space and opportunities. Such realisations will inspire you to make the best use of them.
- You will realise that YOU are responsible for actualising your life rather than being driven away by circumstances, customs, traditions, political agendas, market forces, consumerist fancies and such.
- You will redefine and revitalise your learning experiences and academic life.

Who can participate?
All College / University students who wish to define and design their own life and who wish for a deeper learning experience.
